Durrow/Cullahill Parish Anglers in conjunction with the Woodenbridge Paddlers will hold a family fun day on Sunday 27th May at the Old Bridge Durrow at 2pm. Members will exhibit fly tying and casting techniques along with canoe trips and mini regatta. Bucket collection on day in aid of Durrow community services. Laois Water Safety Officer will be in attendance to launch Water Safety Week which commences on Monday 28th May  - Friday 1st June.

Kilkenny County Council in Association with Gathabawn Development Association present a Composting & Biodiversity Walk. Meeting Area: Gathabawn National School Date: Saturday 12th May, 2012. Time: 1.30 p.m. All are welcome

* Introductory talk on composting including wormeries and composting bins. This talk will also explore the variety of plant and animal species in your community and how you can create a wildlife friendly garden at home or around the community.

*Biodiversity walk througjh the local Millennium Woods identifying the variety of life in the area.
